Hot Toddy with bourbon, lemon and honey. An easy, yet decadent winter pleasure.
Ingredients
1 ounce bourbon or whiskey
2 Tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice (or more to taste)
2 tablespoons honey (or more to taste)
8 ounces filtered water (for tea)
1 tea bag- my favorite for the hot toddy is an Orange Spice blend, but black is fine. Your choice.
Instructions
Brew one cup tea according to package instructions.
In a small sauce pot over medium low heat, combine the bourbon, lemon juice and honey.
Stir until warmed and honey is dissolved.
Add bourbon mixture to the tea and enjoy hot.
Tip: It feels super fancy to drink your toddy out of a crystal glass, but depending on how hot your toddy is, you may want to drink it out of a mug with a handle to save your hands.
