Matcha Chai Latte - Hot or Iced

This Matcha Chai Latte has all the magical benefits of green tea, combined with the comforting flavors found in a traditional chai latte, but without all the sugar. Enjoy hot or over ice!



  1. Heat water over stovetop or in microwave until steaming hot, but not boiling.
  2. Place spices in a traditional matcha bowl or a mug with the hot water. Whisk one minute with the matcha frother whisk or a small regular whisk until powder is dissolved.
  3. Heat milk over stovetop or in microwave. If microwaving, heat in 15 second intervals, stirring in between.
  4. Add hot milk to the spices solution and add vanilla and desired amount of agave or honey.
  5. Pour into mug and enjoy.
  6. For Iced Matcha Latte
  7. Prepare spices the same as for hot version. The powder won't dissolve in cold water.
  8. Add cold milk to spice solution along with the vanilla and pour over ice.
  9. For a creamier version of either, simply use more milk and less water. Or add a dollop of half and half or heavy cream. Customize to your hearts content!
